French Ode and Oriental Rhythm

This project entails the refurbishment of an antiquated residence in Taiwan to accommodate a long-term overseas working owner. The primary objective is to reconcile Eastern and Western influences by employing a refined design approach and judicious material selection, notably integrating abundant marble and iron components. This endeavor also encompasses spatial reconfiguration and the implementation of extensive storage solutions, culminating in the conversion of the aged dwelling into a contemporary, multifunctional, and opulently refined urban abode. The project is founded upon the aesthetic principles of a high-end hotel, serving as the central design motif and blending refined French luxury with contemporary Oriental influences. By employing a diverse array of materials, such as three-dimensional crystal wall decorations set against French hand-painted silk wallpaper, laser-carved leather panels adorning the living room's television wall, and high-gloss lacquered wall panels and 3D stone parquet in other spaces, the project signifies the team's unwavering commitment to artisanship, color, and materials. It aims to craft a serene, sophisticated, and entirely novel dwelling for the client. The project adeptly incorporates elements imbued with meaning and symbolism to structure the space, thereby enhancing the emotional resonance, artistic expression, and spatial depth. This approach enables residents to establish a profound sense of self-identity. Through the fusion of various styles, utilization of diverse materials, unique wall decorations crafted with precision, manipulation of light and shadow, and integration of geometric elements, the project exemplifies the distinctive aesthetics of domestic space and articulates the fundamental principles of existential philosophy. The design was meticulously planned to accommodate the evolving needs of the homeowner's growing children. This involved minimizing design complexities, implementing an open layout to amplify spatial dimensions, and integrating essential functional amenities to infuse the residence with renewed vitality and value.
