Meiping

This design draws on the form of the traditional Chinese plum vase (Meiping) from the Ming Dynasty as its core concept. The classical art touches of the vase and its graceful shape are the basis of the spatial arrangement, embodying the feeling of a peaceful afternoon with a cup of tea in the warm sunlight. The contour of the Meiping is present throughout the design, all corners of the abode that can be seen are curved, setting the overall feel of the space. The living room is accented with pink jade, like the coral decoration on the vase, presenting a classical and graceful atmosphere. Large arced stone slab on the TV wall is a combination of Eastern color palette and Western geometric style, and the asymmetry adds a dash of modernity to the space. The dining area has a rounded ceiling in the middle to represent the family's centripetal bond, and the soft light embracing the large circular dining table brings out a sense of warmth and unity. Pavilion of Elegance is designed with a subdued color palette and natural materials in order to create a tranquil and serene atmosphere with hints of Chinese cultural mystique. The residence is a masterfully created blend of modern and classical style.
