Luminous Flow: A Therapeutic Realm is an immersive balcony installation that blends chromotherapy with natural aquatic imagery, situated on the 25th floor of a landmark residence, One Park Taipei, in Taipei designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Richard Rogers and royal-appointed designer Kelly Hoppen. This exceptional living space redefines urban luxury not only through architectural grandeur and panoramic city views but also through its commitment to emotional wellness and sustainable living.
The primary goal of this project is to offer urban dwellers a space of serenity and inner balance within the heart of the city. The installation is centered around a circular fish tank that wraps the balcony, representing a symbolic aquatic sanctuary. The design integrates water plants, ornamental fish, and a customizable lighting system that responds to emotional needs—blue for calmness, green for balance, and purple for meditation. Through the interplay of light refraction and rhythmic aquatic motion, the space becomes a living artwork that soothes the mind and awakens the senses. Each area of the home flows seamlessly into the next, emphasizing continuity, comfort, and therapeutic presence in everyday life.
Beyond aesthetics and wellness, sustainability lies at the core of the project. All materials used in the residence adhere to strict eco-friendly standards. Notably, the bathroom fittings feature premium products from hansgrohe, a German brand whose entire manufacturing process complies with EcoVadis sustainability certification. These fixtures exemplify the union of luxury and responsibility, offering long-lasting durability while minimizing environmental impact. From water efficiency and carbon-conscious production to material recyclability, every element reflects a deep respect for the planet.
Luminous Flow: A Therapeutic Realm is more than a design—it is a lifestyle philosophy. It demonstrates how space can be artful, emotionally restorative, and environmentally conscious, offering a new paradigm for living well in the modern world.
