A ROYAL WORKING ESTATE Moulin Royale was first recorded in 1616, the original Mill, now the event centre, until the 1700's. In the 1830’s the Mill was extended adding 3 story turning wheels to operate as a Textile Mill. Specializing in the colouring of fabrics, and started supplying the Royal household of Napoleon III. In the late 1840’s, Empress Eugenie De Montijo acquired the property to expand colouring production for the Royal Family and supplying the Palaces of Compiegne and Fontainebleau.
